SEO Is Easy With These 5 Tips

For many people, SE Optimization is something only highly skilled people can do. As a SEO in Dallas it’s my belief that a lot of this is due to all the crap spouted out by many so called SEO’s. Some do this because they don’t have a clue about SEO while many others do it because their Clients would stop paying them if they knew how easy it was to rank a web site. SEO isn’t rocket science folks. It’s as simple as optimizing your website with a few keywords to tell the search engines what your Website is about. Make it easy for the search eninges to determine what your site is about and show them your site is relevant to the term being searched for and they will reward you with higher rankings.

To start with, a person should make certain keywords are part of the URL if you can arrange it. When all things are equal, a site with your keywords in the URL will outrank a website without the keywords in the web address.

Next, the you keywords should be used in the Website’s Title. What this does is help the search engines determine what it is that you Website is all about.

It’s important to make certain keywords are a part of the Title of every page on your site, or at the very least, the Title of the page should contain your some keywords. This has the same effect as putting keywords in the Title of your Website in that it helps the search engines determine what the subject of the page is, what it’s about and how relevant it is to the search term being searched for. As an added benefit, the website should be coded in such a manner as to include the Title of each page in a H1 tag. There should only be one H1 tag per page for the best results. Search engines give a lot of value to the H1 tag and so it’s important in good SEO practices. If you’re using a Houston web design company, make certain they know how to do this one little thing.

Now that you have your domain, Website Title (Name) and Page Titles optimized with your keywords, it is critical that your keywords show up within the page itself. You should use them at least once in the first paragraph and several more times througout the article depending on the length. It’s also important to put it near the end of the page or article. A few more times between the first and last paragraph can’t hurt but don’t over do it, just be sure you work them at the first of the article and again at the end.

Finally, you’ll soon discover that the most important part of SEO actually takes place off site. In my opinion, the most important thing in obtaining a higher ranking is backlinks pointing to your site. And it’s not enough to just get backlinks, these links back to your site need to have your keywords as the Anchor text of the links back to your site.

How important are backward links? Well, I can rank a website that doesn’t have the keywords in the domain, one that doesn’t have keywords in the Website Title, Page Title and in the Content (although it’s much, much harder to do), but without anchored backward links going to your web page, {it’s nearly impossible} to to get higher rankings in the search engines for any terms that are the least bit competitive.
